Welcome to South Chase Custom Homes

The only thing better than owning a premier- quality home built by South Chase is being involved with it's creation - from inception to completion". While providing expert guidance and understanding each step of the way, Doug Henjes encourages his home buyers to participate in both the design and creation of their home.

Each client works directly with the builder and a number of other involved personnel, such as the designer, decorator, cabinetmaker, landscaper and superintendent. As a small volume builder, President Doug Henjes is able to give his home buyers the advantage of staying keenly involved with each state of their home's development.

"I try very hard to make my customer's buying experience a pleasant one," Henjes says, "in part because the building process is so rewarding to me. My goal is always to build stylish homes that are soundly constructed - homes which will appreciate in value over the years. Lasting value is the trademark we strive for with every new home we build."

Doug Henjes has been building "Green Homes" before it was the popular thing to do. South Chase has been building homes for more than 15 years with 2x6 exterior walls and extra insulation in the ceiling and walls. They use double pain windows and install 12 seer heating and air systems, all of which are ABOVE state requirements. As a result, many features are considered standard in a South Chase home. These standards include top-of-the-line cabinetry, granite or solid surface counter tops, crown molding, irrigation and home networking.

Doug Henjes has impeccable credentials that are recognized within the industry. South Chase is a "Best of Show" winner in the Spartanburg Showcase of Homes. Henjes is also a member of the Home Builders Association and has been building in the area for more than 15 years. He is convinced that his company's success comes from his personal commitment to building good value for the money, paying attention to detail, and using high quality subcontractors, most of whom have been with him for years. Henjes explains his dedication to his work when he says, "The greatest compliment I can receive is for my customers to ask me to plan on building their next home. Then I know they're sincerely happy with both the process and result."
